Namibian Cycle Classic
The Namibian Cycle Classic (officially The Namibian Pick n Pay Cycle Classic ) is the most important and largest cycling race in Namibia . It is organized by Windhoek Pedal Power under the supervision of the Namibian Cycling Federation.
The race is held annually in October over distances of 35 kilometers, 60 kilometers and 100 kilometers, and in some years over 200 kilometers. There is also a mountain bike race.
The main sponsor is Pick 'n Pay with the support of the Namibian daily newspaper The Namibian . Every year, up to 1500 participants take part in the cycling race introduced in the mid-1990s.
