Michelle Vorster (born September 12, 1978 in Windhoek , South West Africa ) is a Namibian cyclist who is active on the road and mountain bike . With five national championship titles in mountain biking, she is the most successful Namibian athlete in history in this sport.

Athletic career

In 2015 and 2016 Michelle Vorster was third in the Africa Championship in Mountain Bike (Cross Country) (XC). In 2015 she won silver in the team time trial at the African Championships on the road together with Irene Stey and Vera Adrian . She took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics and came in 26th on the mountain bike.

In 2017 Vorster became African champion in mountain bike XC. The following year, she was eighth in the same discipline at the 2018 Commonwealth Games . From 2015 to 2020 she was Namibian mountain bike champion.
