Dan Craven (born February 1, 1983 in Otjiwarongo , South West Africa ) is a Namibian cyclist .

Life

Dan Craven grew up in the northern heartland of Namibia and studied political science , philosophy and economics at the University of Stellenbosch in neighboring South Africa . The 1.84 meter tall athlete was part of the Namibian national team for the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics , but ended each race early. At that time he was part of the IG-Sigma Sport team. He had previously been a driver for the Rapha Condor team since 2009 . At the beginning of 2014 he briefly belonged to the German team Bike Aid-Ride for Help . From 2014 to 2016 he drove for the French team Europcar and moved to the Israeli team Cycling Academy in 2016 .
