James Lewis Perry (born November 19, 1979 in Cape Town ) is a former South African track and road cyclist.

At the 2001 road cycling world championships in Lisbon , Portugal , James Perry was third in the U23 time trial in 2001 behind the winner Danny Pate and the German Sebastian Lang . In 2005 he won the Grand Prix Möbel Alvisse in Luxembourg with his team Konica Minolta . In 2006 and 2007 Perry drove for the British Professional Continental Team Barloworld . In his first year there he was able to take part in the Giro di Lombardia ProTour race because his team received a wildcard. In 2008 he moved to the South African Continental Team Neotel. His greatest success was winning the South African championship in the individual time trial .

By the end of his career in 2014, he had won a total of six national titles, two in the time trial on the road and four on the track , including two in the single and two in the team pursuit .
