Tour of Chongming Island

The Tour of Chongming Iceland is a Chinese cycling race for women , which has been held since of 2007. The race is named after its venue, Chongming Dao Island , which is within the metropolitan area of Shanghai .

The competition consisted of two individual races: a stage race in UCI category 2.1, consisting of three daily sections, each of which is around 70 kilometers long, and the subsequent one-day race, the Tour of Chongming Island World Cup , which will be the Cycling World Cup between 2010 and 2015 Women counted. The one-day race replaced an individual time trial that had been held in previous years.

The stage race was added to the calendar of the newly launched UCI Women's WorldTour in 2016 ; the one-day race was no longer included in the international calendar.
