Evgenija Sergejewna Romanjuta , also Evgenia Romanyuta , m . Augustinas , ( Russian Евгения Сергеевна Романюта ; born January 22, 1988 in Tula ) is a Russian track cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2005, Yevgenia Romanjuta celebrated her first international successes as a junior, was second at the European track championships in scratch and third in the same discipline at the junior world championships. The following year she finished second in the junior championships and third place in the scratch, while she was third in the junior championship and second in the scratch. In 2008 and 2010 she took third place at the European Junior Championships in scratch. In addition, she took several top places in track bike World Cup races.
In 2011 Romanjuta started in the elite class for the first time and became two-time Russian champion, in the omnium and in the team pursuit . At the UEC European Rail Championships 2011 in Apeldoorn , she won the gold medal in the points run. In 2013, at the World Railroad Championships in Minsk , she won the bronze medal in scratch, just like the following year at the World Championships in Cali . In 2014 she became European champion in this discipline. At the UEC European Rail Championships 2017 in Berlin , she won two medals, silver in the elimination and bronze in scratch.
In 2018, Yevgenia Augustina won bronze in the elimination stage at the European Railway Championships , and in 2019 she was second in the Omnium at the European Games .
