Tom Bohli (born January 17, 1994 in Uznach ) is a Swiss cyclist specializing in road and track cycling .
Career
In 2011 and 2012 Bohli was Swiss junior champion in road racing . In 2012 he also received the national title in the individual time trial and was junior world and European champion in the single pursuit in track cycling . At the UCI Road World Championships in Limburg , Buhli was eighth in the junior road race.
In January 2013 Bohli started as a member of the Swiss national team at the Track Cycling World Cup in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in the team pursuit and finished second with Silvan Dillier , Stefan Küng and Loïc Perizzolo . The quartet set a new Swiss record time of 4.02.502 minutes and thus undercut the existing best time by more than five seconds. In 2014 he won bronze at the U23 European Championship in the single pursuit and was again U23 European champion in the team pursuit together with Küng, Frank Pasche and Théry Schir . In 2015 he became vice-U23 European champion in the single pursuit.
In 2013 Bohli received a contract with the BMC Development Team and from 2016 with the BMC Racing Team . From then on he mainly competed in road races. Up until 2018, his greatest achievement was winning the prologue for the Three Days of West Flanders .
At the beginning of 2019 he signed with UAE Team Emirates and did his first big tour, the Giro d'Italia 2019 .
