Théry Schir (born February 18, 1993 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss cyclist who is mainly active on the track .

Athletic career

In 2011 Théry Schir became Junior European Champion together with Stefan Küng in two-man team driving ; in the same year he became Swiss champion in the team pursuit , together with Olivier Beer , Damien Corthésy and Cyrille Thièry . The following year he was national champion in two-man team driving, together with Thièry. In 2013 he won both the points race and the scratch at the Grand Prix Velodromes Romands in the World Cycling Center in Aigle .

In 2016, Schir was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he finished seventh in the team pursuit with Olivier Beer , Cyrille Thièry and Silvan Dillier . In 2018, together with Cyrille Thièry, Frank Pasche , Stefan Bissegger and Claudio Imhof, he became vice European champion in the team pursuit in Glasgow .

At the 2019 European Games in Minsk , Schir won two medals: silver in the Omnium and bronze in the team pursuit (with Robin Froidevaux , Lukas Rüegg and Claudio Imhof ). In the road race, he finished eleventh.
