Tristan Marguet (born August 22, 1987 in Monthey ) is a Swiss track and road cyclist .
Athletic career
On the track, Marguet was 17 times Swiss champion between 2007 and 2019 in the disciplines scratch points race , omnium , sprint , team sprint , keirin and two-man team race . Together with Franco Marvulli , he won the six-day race in Tilburg in 2009 and the Sei Giorni internazionale delle Rose in Fiorenzuola d'Arda in 2012 . In 2015 Marguet became vice European champion in scratch in front of a home crowd in Grenchen . He finished third in this discipline in 2018 . At the 2019 European Games in Minsk , he won the two-man team event with Robin Froidevaux .
On the road, Marguet won the fourth stage of the Tour de Berlin U23 race in 2009 and his first international elite race in 2018 with the second stage of the Tour of Black Sea .
doping
In September 2011, Marguet was suspended from his association Swiss Cycling after a positive doping test . He had tested positive for pseudoephedrine , an ingredient in cold medicines , on the occasion of the Copenhagen Six Days in February . The use of this substance is permitted in training, but not in competition. He was therefore banned for six months.
Private
Tristan Marguet is nicknamed "Titi". His sister Noémi Marguet was also a cyclist. In 2004 she was third in the Swiss cyclocross championship.
