Gaël Suter (born March 23, 1992 in Aigle ) is a former Swiss cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2009, Gaël Suter was second in the Swiss championship in the individual time trial of the juniors and third in the Omnium on the track . In 2010 he won the Giro del Mendrisiotto (U 19).
In 2011 Suter became Swiss champion in the elite sprint ; In 2013 he won two more national titles, in the points race and in the scratch . The following year he was third in the Omnium at the European Rail Championships (U23) .
In 2016 Gaël Suter was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he finished twelfth in the Omnium. In July 2018 he announced his retirement from competitive cycling.
Professional
Since 2010 Suter has been working part-time in the administration of the World Cycling Association UCI in Aigle (as of 2017).
