Heinz Isler (born February 19, 1960 in Embrach ) is a former Swiss cyclist who was mainly active on the track .
Heinz Isler was one of the most successful Swiss track cyclists from the late 1970s to the 1980s. In 1977 and 1978 he was third in the UCI track world championships for juniors in the 1000-meter time trial . In the following years he won six national titles, in the 1000-meter time trial as well as in the sprint .
Isler competes twice in the Olympic Games : in 1980 he was sixth in the sprint and time trial at the Moscow Velodrome in Krylatskoje . Four years later, at the Games in Los Angeles , he finished tenth in the time trial. Isler started for the club VC Gippingen.
