Fatehah Mustapa (born March 12, 1989 in Kuala Terengganu ) is a Malaysian cyclist who is primarily active on the track .

Athletic career

Fatehah Mustapa has been an international cyclist since 2007, when she came third in the road race at the Asian Junior Games . Since then, she has focused on track cycling and competed in numerous world cup races in the disciplines of time trial , keirin , scratch and sprint .

At the UCI Track World Championships 2011 in Apeldoorn , Mustapa finished fifth in the Keirin, making it the first Malaysian female cyclist to reach a final at the Track World Championships. A hindering fall of the Cuban Lisandra Guerra in this run even prevented a better placement.

2012 Mustapa was at the Olympic Games in London 15th in the keirin competition. Four years later she was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished 21st in the sprint.

Half of the year Fateha Mustapa lives in Melbourne and trains there with John Beasley Jr. In 2012 she started for the Malaysian YSD Track Team , for which the male Malaysian track cycling stars Josiah Ng , Mohd Rizal Tisin and Azizulhasni Awang also rode.
