Christian Gaty
Christian Catignol alias Christian Gaty (born February 9, 1925 ) is a French comic artist .
Career
After attending the art school, Christian Gaty was one of the young draftsmen around Raymond Poïvet . In 1947 he began a long-term collaboration with Vaillant . In addition to commissions for the daily press, he also published in Pilote and Journal de Mickey . With the completion of an interrupted story of The Red Corsair , he took over the series and the representation of Jijé at the same time . After the death of Jean-Michel Charlier , he continued with Jean Ollivier and used his own style, which he replaced in the last three episodes with that of Victor Hubinon at Dargaud's request .
