Christian Herden (born June 29, 1943 ) is a German lawyer and former presiding judge at the Federal Fiscal Court .

Career

Herden studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After passing the second state examination in law, he initially worked as an independent lawyer in Munich . In 1972 he entered the higher service of the financial administration of the Free State of Bavaria . From here he was seconded to the Federal Fiscal Court as a research assistant for 4 years in 1977 . From 1981 Herden worked as a judge at the Finance Court in Munich .

On April 1, 1985, Herden was appointed judge at the Federal Fiscal Court, where he was initially responsible for the taxation of individual traders, investment grants and, until 1989, also for certain procedures relating to valuation law. Belonged to the Senate. On June 28, 2000, he was appointed presiding judge and moved to the 4th Senate, which is responsible for litigation over the taxation of partnerships and income from agriculture and forestry .

On July 2, 2008, he was adopted into retirement.

From 2009 to 2013 he was a non-professional judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court .
