Christian Hergenröther (born April 19, 1986 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Hergenröther, who graduated from the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , was a trainer at BSG Ludwigsburg before moving to Grüner Stern Keltern in 2014 . In Keltern he moved from assistant coach to head coach of the women's second division team at the end of January 2015, replacing Peter Kortmann in this position. Hergenröther led Keltern to win the championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga South and promotion to the women's basketball Bundesliga in spring 2015 . In the 2015/16 Bundesliga season, under Hergenröther's leadership, Keltern advanced to the top group of the league and the cup final.

In the 2016/17 season he led Keltern back to the cup final, for the first time to the German runner-up and to the round of 16 of the European club competition EuroCup.

In September 2017, Keltern won the Supercup and the Champions Cup of the women's basketball league under Hergenröther's direction.

In spring 2018, Hergenröther was again in the German cup final with Keltern, but had to admit defeat again. At the beginning of May 2018, Hergenröther Keltern led to the first German championship in the club's history. The final series against Wasserburg was won 3-0. In the 2018/19 season, Keltern was runner-up under his leadership.
