Christian Kaiser (basketball coach)

Christian Kaiser (born April 11, 1983 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

As a player Kaiser rose in 2008 with the Osnabrücker SC as champions of the 1st Regionalliga Nord in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB  and was also part of the Osnabrück squad in the ProB season 2008/09. In the 2009/10 season he was part of the squad of the regional division Uni-Riesen Leipzig .

Even during his playing days, the trained sports and fitness clerk was also active as a trainer at Osnabrücker SC, supervising the club's second women's and youth teams. Kaiser was the assistant coach of the Osnabrück women who were promoted from the 2nd to the 1st Bundesliga in 2011, and in 2012 he took over the position of head coach in the Bundesliga . In 2014 he and the team suffered relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, but in the 2014/15 season led them back to the first division as champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North and as a second division team to the semi-finals. Following this success, Kaiser became a member of the internet service eurobasket.comNamed coach of the year in the 2nd Bundesliga North. During his time at Osnabrücker SC, he was also head of the basketball department from 2014. After the end of the 2014/15 season, he left the OSC.

In May 2016, Kaiser took up the position of youth coordinator at TSV Wasserburg . There he also took over the coaching position at Wasserburg's second women's team in the 2nd Bundesliga and worked as an assistant coach for the Bundesliga team.

At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Kaiser switched to the Gießen 46ers as a youth trainer , and in January 2018 they split up after Kaiser asked for the employment relationship to be terminated. In 2019 he took up a position as a full-time youth trainer at TS Jahn Munich.
