Christian Macketanz

Christian Macketanz (born April 30, 1963 in Eutin ) is a visual artist ( painter ) and professor at the Dresden University of Fine Arts .

biography

Macketanz studied from 1983 to 1989 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Maria Lassnig . He lived and worked in Vienna (1983 to 1994), Rome (1995 to 2001) and Berlin (2002 to 2010). In 1999 he received the Anton Faistauer Prize (recognition award). Since 2010 he has been professor of painting at the Dresden University of Fine Arts .

Christian Macketanz lives in Dresden .
