Christian Marbach (born October 9, 1937 in Altkirch ) is a French engineer . He is known for his reforms in favor of technology transfer in France.

He founded Sofinnova, Europe's first venture capital fund, in 1971 and reformed ANVAR in 1979 to facilitate the transfer of university research to industry.

Life

After graduating from the École polytechnique in 1961, he went to the French Ministry of Industry, where he held various management positions until 1991.
