Christian Poschmann

Christian Poschmann (* 1979 ) is a former German football player .

career

Poschmann began his football career in 1996 with the Langenfeld Longhorns . In 1999, the 1.74 meter tall running back moved to the Düsseldorf Panthers , for whom he initially played in the Bundesliga until 2001 . In 2002 he joined the Cologne Crocodiles and then went back to Düsseldorf.

In May 2008 he tore a cruciate ligament, a meniscus tear and cartilage damage in a second division game with the Düsseldorf team. This ended his career in competitive football. At the end of May 2008, Poschmann was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf .

Poschmann studied sports management in Cologne . During his studies he did an internship in the Rhein Fire office and was then employed by the club. He worked there for eight years in the areas of team and event management.

In March 2019 Poschmann, who works full-time as the managing partner of a restaurant delivery service, took over the management of the acquisition and support of sponsors at the Panthers.

National team

Poschmann won bronze at the World Cup with Germany's national football team in 2003 and 2007, the silver medal at the European Championship in 2005 and the gold medal at the World Games in the same year . Poschmann was named the best player of the tournament at the World Games held in Duisburg .
