Christian Schnalzger

Christian Schnalzger (* 1984 in Giengen an der Brenz ) is a photographer and specialist author in the field of digital photography and digital video applications .

He studied literature, music and media studies in Tübingen, Paris and Berlin and spent time abroad in France, England and Italy. Since 2002 Schnalzger has published ten books on photography and videography , and he also writes for various journals on photography and videography.
From 2002 until she was hired in 2009, he was a freelance editor for PCVideo magazine .
He has been represented in the Videofilmen magazine since 2003 with his own series on film practice, and since 2009 with a series on "Dramaturgy and Technology", which deals with the technical implementation and dramaturgical effect of film design elements. In 2009 he also published a six-part series on audio post-production (issue 1–6 / 2009) in video films, and in 2010 a two-part series on the making of a feature film (issue 5–6 / 2010). Other topics from Schnalzger include practice-oriented product reviews, contributions to sound recording and processing as well as insights into the creation of his own video productions. Also in 2010 a travelogue appeared here, for which Schnalzger spent four weeks in seclusion with farmers in France (issue 1/2011).

As a photographer, he co-founded the off-lifestyle magazine Eyesprung in 2006.
He writes record reviews for the Berlin magazine Spree.

In 2007 and 2008 he led a series of practical workshops on the book Digital Photo Practice Landscape and Nature on Site at Natural Scenes in Germany. In 2012 he leads a series of practical workshops on the book The Perfect Moment in Berlin and Cologne.
