Christian Schumacher (* 1964 in Hamm / Westphalia ) is a German director and screenwriter.

life and work

Schumacher studied at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal ( communication design , department 5: design). He completed his studies in the film class of Ursula Wevers with his film debut "Uriel". During his studies, Schumacher directed short films and the 45-minute essay film “Words of Time” for the Goethe Institute in Munich.

Schumacher staged TV series (RTL, Pro7), TV movies (ARD), produced, wrote and realized various TV essays (arte / ZDF). He made his debut as a director in 1999 with the television series Klinikum Berlin Mitte . In 2001 he was the director of “ Men are to Wean ” and in 2002 co-director and co-screenwriter of “ The Stuffed Mohr ” and in 2004 “ The Others - The Elector's Slave Trade ”. Schumacher directed a number of episodes of " Behind Bars - The Woman's Woman " and is responsible for a number of advertising trailers. a. “ Forbidden Love ”, “In love with Berlin ”, “ The Guard ”.
