Christian Wilhelm Erich Haub (born July 22, 1964 in Tacoma , Washington ) is a German - American entrepreneur . He has been CEO of the Tengelmann Group since April 2018 .

Life

Christian Haub was born as the son of the entrepreneur Erivan Haub . From 1985 to 1989 he studied social and economic sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . From 1991 to 2010 he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., Inc. in Montvale , New Jersey , USA.

Since 2000 he has been managing and personally liable partner of Tengelmann with his brother Karl-Erivan Haub . He has been running the company alone since his brother's disappearance in April 2018.

Christian Haub is married to Liliane Haub and has four children. He lived with his family in the United States until his brother's disappearance . In 2018, he moved into the official residence of the headquarters in Mülheim an der Ruhr to run the family business.

After taking over the Tengelmann Group, Christian Haub allied himself with his brother Georg and pushed Karl-Erivan's widow and their children Viktoria and Erivan out of the more than 150-year-old family business.
