Christian Zeller

Julius Christian Johannes Zeller (born June 24, 1822 in Mühlhausen am Neckar , † May 31, 1899 in Cannstatt ) was a German mathematician and pastor from Württemberg.

Zeller studied mathematics , geography and theology . In 1874 he became rector of the seminar in Markgröningen . In 1882 he developed his formulas for calculating the days of the week and calculating the date of Easter ( Zeller's congruence ).
