Christian from the Winckel was an Anhalt-zerbstischer Oberhofmarschall and Oberhofmeister as well as heir and court lord on Schierau, Möst and Oberthau.

Life

He came from the Thuringian noble family from the Winckel and was a representative of the Schierau line that existed from 1527 to the middle of the 19th century .

In Oberthau , Christian from the Winckel owned the so-called Unter- or Wallhof, a man-arm knight's estate, which was issued as a fiefdom at the feudal chancellery of the Merseburg monastery . His wife Maria Sabina, née von Berbisdorff, brought this manor into the marriage. She had the estate from her first husband, the Merseburg cathedral provost, councilor and consistorial councilor Carl Otto Bose on Ermlitzreceived in 1700. After her first husband suddenly died on October 26, 1707 due to a stroke while doing his official business in the consistory in Merseburg, she married the widowed Christian from the Winckel after the mourning period. His first wife, Rahel Philippina née von Pölnitz (August 8, 1686), whom he married in Altenburg in 1703, died in Zerbst on April 26, 1708. Ludwig Ernst von Pöllnitz (1641–1695) was his father-in-law. This was an electoral Saxon politician and heir to Röpsen and Benndorf, he was also provost of the cathedral in Naumburg and the regional director of Altenburg .

Maria Sabina from the Winckel died at the age of 73 on April 27, 1743 in Zerbst and was buried on April 30 in the Holy Trinity Church there. In the year before her death, she had sold the manor in Oberthau to her relative from her first marriage, Carl Wilhelm Bose.
