Christiane Fux (born May 18, 1966 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German journalist and writer . She became known for her crime novels about an undertaker, which are set in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg .

Life

Christiane Fux grew up in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg. She studied German in Hamburg with a focus on journalism and psychology and lives in Munich.

In addition to her writing activities, she works as a science journalist for the online health portal NetDoktor .

She writes film reviews for the online film magazine artechock under the name Nani Fux .

Theo Matthies series

The investigator in Fux's crime novels is the Wilhelmsburg undertaker Theo Matthies. He was originally a doctor who joined the family's funeral home after his wife's death. Again and again he discovers discrepancies in deaths that he has to do professionally and begins to investigate. In doing so, he comes into contact in different situations with many people who live together on the Elbe island.
