Christianity Today

Christianity Today is an American evangelical magazine. It is published by Christianity Today International, has a circulation of 180,000 (1998) and claims to have a readership of 300,000.

The authors include theologians such as John Stott , Philip Yancey and Ben Witherington , and the advisory editors Alister McGrath , Edwin M. Yamauchi and Thomas C. Oden .

history

Christianity Today was founded in 1956 by Billy Graham as an antithesis to The Christian Century , the leading independent journal of mainline Protestantism . In the early years, the authors included leading evangelical theologians such as FF Bruce , Edward John Carnell , Frank Gaebelein , Walter Martin and John Warwick Montgomery .
