Christie (Toronto Subway)

Christie is an underground subway station in Toronto . It is on the Bloor-Danforth Line of the Toronto Subway , at the intersection of Bloor Street and Christie Street. The station has side platforms and is used by an average of 12,020 passengers every day

The Christie Pits Park is in the immediate vicinity . There is a possibility to change to a bus line. The station opened on February 26, 1966, along with the Keele - Woodbine section . On October 15, 1976, shortly before closing time, vandals set a subway car on fire. The train stopped at Christie and the station had to be evacuated. The fire caused significant property damage at the station and part of the Bloor-Danforth line was out of service for two days.
