Christina Fritsch (born December 12, 1950 in Ortmannsdorf ) is a German teacher and politician ( SPD ).

education and profession

After graduating from high school and training as a spinning mill worker in Zwickau , Fritsch completed a course of studies to become a certified teacher for music education and German at the Zwickau University of Education . From 1973 to 1988 she was a teacher at various polytechnic high schools . Since 1986 she has been a teacher at the Martin-Hoop-Oberschule in Mülsen St. Niclas . Later she became head of department for elementary and special schools in Pirna .

politics

Fritsch joined the newly founded SDP in December 1989 . In March 1990 she was elected to the People's Chamber for the SPD in the Karl-Marx-Stadt constituency. In October 1990 she was one of 144 members of the Bundestag who were sent by the People's Chamber . She was a member of the Bundestag until December 1990. In the 2005 federal election , she ran unsuccessfully in the constituency of Saxon Switzerland - Eastern Ore Mountains .
