Christina Rommel (born April 27, 1981 ) is a German rock / pop singer and composer from Erfurt .

biography

The musician was born in Erfurt. She attended music school. Her first concerts could be experienced in Erfurt.

In 2005 Christina Rommel became the representative for UNICEF.

In addition to her musical career, Rommel works for the MDR , for which she hosted her own weekly television program called "Insider Tip" from 2006–2008, of which more than 60 episodes were broadcast. She is socially committed to projects such as B. Music for multigenerational houses, the cooperation with the foundation "Hand in Hand", is a founding member of the cultural association "Kultur lauter Stille" in close cooperation with the Erfurt Sign Choir . Christina Rommel has been involved in the "School against Racism" project since 2014. In 2019 she conceived the project "Interactive Music Lessons" for elementary schools, which was carried out for the first time in autumn 2019 at the Pestalozzi Music School in Weimar.

Musical career

At the beginning of her career, Christina Rommel concentrated on English texts, so her first two albums were exclusively in English. She has been playing live tours since 2004. Together with her band, she toured the east coast of America and New York in 2007 and 2008, and in 2018 she was first seen in France, Austria and Switzerland. In Germany she attends over 100 live appointments every year. Christina Rommel & BAND have been endorsers for duesenberg, neumann, meinl, kemper, sennheiser and Terre since 2015. Christina Rommel has been inviting international guest musicians on her tours since 2018.
