Christina Schaefer is a German economist.

Life

After her high school diploma in 1986 ( Prospect Park ) and her Abitur in 1988, she studied mathematics at the University of Hamburg from 1988 to 1993 and graduated as a mathematician. From 1991 to 1997 she worked as a freelance IT and organizational consultant in insurance companies. From 1993 to 1997 she was a research assistant at the University of Hamburg, Institute for Public Economics and Human Resources. After obtaining his doctorate in 1997, rer. pol., University of Hamburg, from 1997 to 2004 she was a research assistant at the University of Hamburg, Institute for Public Economics and Human Resources. After her habilitation in 2003 at the University of Hamburg, Venia Legendi in general business administration, she taught from 2004 to 2009 as a professor for public management at the HTW Berlin . In 2008 she turned down the call to the Zeppelin University for a professorship for public business administration. Since 2010 she has been a professor of administrative science, in particular the management of public organizations, at the Helmut Schmidt University . From 2015 to 2017 she was Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Helmut Schmidt University. She has been the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Helmut Schmidt University since 2017.
