Lothar Streitferdt

Lothar Streitferdt (* 25. August 1941 in Reghin , Romania ) is a German business economist and emeritus professor of business administration (BWL), especially public economics at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Lothar Streitferdt graduated from 1956 to 1961, a study of electrical engineering in Linz on the Danube. From 1961 to 1963 he worked as a sales engineer at Siemens AG in Stuttgart . From 1963 to 1968 he studied technical business administration at the University of Stuttgart and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology . He obtained his diploma. pole. (techn.).

In 1972 , Streitferdt received his doctorate from the University of Hamburg. The topic of his dissertation was the fundamentals and problems of business risk theory .

In 1977 he obtained his habilitation at the University of Hamburg. The subject of his habilitation thesis was decision-making rules for evaluating deviations. A contribution to the business variance analysis . From 1977 to 1980, Streitferdt held a professorship at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU / UniBwH). In 1979 he received appointments at the University of Bremen , the University of Siegen and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . From 1980 to 1983 he was a professor at the University of Frankfurt.

Since 1983 Lothar Streitferdt was professor of business administration, especially public economy, at the University of Hamburg.

In 1986 a further call to the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg followed . In 1987 he was visiting professor at the École de Superieure de Commerce Bordeaux. From 1986 to 1996 Lothar Streitferdt was a member of the board of the German Society for Operations Research, and was its chairman from 1990 to 1992. From 1987 to 1989 he held another position as a visiting professor at the University of Vienna . From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the board of the Transatlantische Lebensversicherungs AG. Since 1990, Streitferdt was head of the Allfinanz Akademie and from 1995 to 2000 he was president of the Federal Association of Financial Services . From 2001 to 2003 he was dean of the department .

Lothar Streitferdt has been retired since 2006.

Research priorities

His main research interests were management of regional authorities , in particular the economics of institutions, public finances and public accounting , in particular accounting for the parties, as well as controlling and information management in the public economy, in particular operations research .
