Christof Geiß , also Geiss or Geiß Hahn, is a German mathematician.

Geiß studied mathematics at the University of Bayreuth , where he received his diploma in 1990 (diploma thesis: Representative algebras and multiplicative bases) and received his doctorate in 1993 under Wolfgang Erich Müller (Tame distribute algebras and related topics). He researches and teaches at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México , where he studied in 1991/92 and became an assistant in 1993. There he is Investigador Titular C.

It deals with cluster algebras in Lie theory and their Kategorifizierung, präprojektiven algebras and quivers (Quiver) in connection with symmetresierbaren Cartan matrices.

Geiß is invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians 2018 (Quivers with relations for symmetrizable Cartan matrices and algebraic Lie Theory).
