Jan Schröer

Jan Schröer (born May 4, 1971 in Lippstadt ) is a German mathematician who deals with representation theory.

Schröer studied mathematics in Bielefeld from 1991, where he received his doctorate in 1997 with Claus Michael Ringel with his dissertation Hammocks for String Algebras . He then worked as a postdoc in Bielefeld, Mexico City and as a lecturer in Leeds. Since 2005 he has been a professor at the University of Bonn .

Schröer became German youth champion in 1992 in Go . He is married and has two children.
