Christoph Boettigheimer

Christoph Böttigheimer (born August 17, 1960 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Böttigheimer studied Roman Catholic theology from 1983 to 1988 at the University of Innsbruck and at the University of Tübingen . This was followed in 1993 by the doctorate to Dr. theol. and in 1996 the habilitation, both at the University of Munich . Since 2002 Böttigheimer has been Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt . He is a signatory of the memorandum “ Church 2011: A Necessary Awakening ”.
