Christoph Betzl

Christoph Betzl (born February 13, 1949 in Rott am Inn ) is a German motorcycle track racer who not only drove speedway and long-track races, but was also successful in the ice speedway . He took part in the world championships in all three track sports disciplines.

Career

He began his career in 1967 and ended it after the 1982 season. As early as the 1970s, Betzl started for Germany in the Speedway Team and Best Pairs World Championships. His greatest successes were winning the long track vice world championship in 1981 in Gornja Radgona / YU (today in Slovenia) and reaching the Speedway World Cup finals in 1979 in Chorzow / PL, where he finished 14th with two points.
