Christoph Glatzer (born June 10, 1975 ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .

Career

As a player

Glatzer played as an active player for various lower-class clubs, including ASK Erlaa and SV Gols . In 2008 he ended his career.

As a trainer

Glatzer trained from 2010 in the academy of FK Austria Wien , where he initially looked after the U-15 team. Between 2011 and 2013 he was the coach of the U-16 team, between 2013 and 2015 he was in charge of the U-15 again.

In March 2015, Glatzer became assistant trainer to Andreas Ogris for the professionals of Vienna Austria. After Ogris had finished his job as head coach after the 2014/15 season, Glatzer also returned to the academy and looked after the Austria U-15 again.

After he had looked after the U-15 and U-16 teams alternately for three seasons, he became Ogris's assistant coach for the second-class second team of Austria for the 2018/19 season. After Austria separated from Ogris in March 2019, Glatzer took over the post of head coach at the Young Violets on an interim basis. After the 2018/19 season he was replaced by Harald Suchard . He then became a talent coach at Austria in June 2019.
