Christoph Koepke

Christoph Köpke (born December 6, 1947 ) is a German manager and from January 2005 was Chairman of the Management Board of DaimlerChrysler Sales Organization Germany (DCVD) based in Berlin. Christoph Köpke retired on December 31, 2006 after 35 years in the DaimlerChrysler Group. His successor is Peter Alexander Trettin . Christoph Köpke is still active on the DCSA supervisory board . In Germany he had to break open the structures that had become encrusted under his predecessor Eckhard Panka in the DCVD and adapt sales to the new market conditions.

From 1989 to 2005 he worked in South Africa as Chairman of the Board of Management of the DaimlerChrysler sales organization in Pretoria . Köpke combined the leadership of DCSA with social engagement. Since the mid-1990s, he has been campaigning for nationwide and in-house AIDS prophylaxis (see also HIV / AIDS in Africa ).

Köpke was chairman of the South African employers' association SACOB ( South African Chamber of Business ) and has been an honorary member of the SAIIE ( Southern African Institute for Industrial Engineering ) since 2003 .

Christoph Köpke mainly lives in South Africa, where he owns a farm. He is married to his former secretary for the second time and has two children from his first marriage. His first wife died in a traffic accident in South Africa.
