Christoph Kies

Christoph Kies (born February 26, 1982 in Dresden ) is a German standard and Latin dancer.

Life

Christoph Kies was born on February 26, 1982 in Dresden. After finishing school he devoted himself exclusively to dancing. Christoph Kies started dancing in the school class in the early 90s . Until 2002 he danced with Silke Zetzsche. With her he specialized in the supreme discipline in dance sport - combination competitions over all 10 standard and Latin dances. In 2001 he was the first German master in the combination of 10 dances.

2002–2009 he danced with the Spanish-born Blanca Ribas Turón . 2003-2008 he won all the German championship titles to be awarded in combination.

Christoph Kies starts for TSC Excelsior Dresden and works as a freelance dance sport trainer in the Dresden area.

In 2006 (Moscow), 2007 (Tokyo) and 2008 (Berlin) the couple became world champions over 10 dances - in 2007 (Vienna) and 2008 (Chisinau) they were also European champions over 10 dances. From 2005 to 2008 the couple was among the best 6 couples in both standard and Latin at the German championships in the two individual disciplines.
