Blanca Ribas Turón

Blanca Ribas Turón (born June 6, 1982 in Gandia , Province of Valencia , Spain ) is a German-Spanish standard and Latin dancer.

Life

She spent most of her childhood and youth in Barcelona . In 1994, Blanca Ribas Turón started dancing. In Spain she danced with Emilio Villodres, Sascha Brovnic and Pau Aran. With the latter she became a four-time Spanish champion and specialized in competitions over 10 dances (standard + Latin).

After graduating from high school in 2000, she began studying physiotherapy in Barcelona. In 2002 she moved to Dresden with practically no knowledge of German and devoted herself entirely to dance with her new partner Christoph Kies . Blanca Ribas Turón starts for TSC Excelsior Dresden and works in the Dresden area as a freelance dance choreographer and dance trainer for children, youth and adults.

In 2006 (Moscow), 2007 (Tokyo) and 2008 (Berlin) the couple Kies / Ribas Turón became world champions over 10 dances - in 2007 (Vienna) they also became European champions over 10 dances.

In March 2011 she ended her active dance career. She continues to work as a dance choreographer and trainer in Germany, Spain and South America. She has also been the association trainer for Saxony since 2015.
