Irene Fröhlich

Irene Fröhlich (born May 12, 1944 in Bärwalde / Neumark ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

From 1996 to 2000 she was chairwoman of the Alliance 90 / The Greens parliamentary group in Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Irene Fröhlich worked as an educator and in adult education. She also began studying economics and adult education, which she did not finish. Most recently she worked as a gestalt pedagogue and as a therapist for addicts.

Irene Fröhlich is widowed and has three children.

Political party

Irene Fröhlich was one of the founders of the Schleswig-Holstein Green List in 1978 and was spokeswoman for the state board of the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein from 1990 to 1994 .

From 1986 to 1989 she was a member of the city council of Husum and from 1994 to 1996 of the district council of the district of North Friesland .

From 1996 to 2005 Irene Fröhlich was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . There she was chairwoman from 1996 to 2000 and deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen from 2000 to 2005.

Irene Fröhlich is always on the national list drawn into the parliament.
