Christoph Motzko

Christoph Motzko (* 1957 ) is a German civil engineer for construction operations and has been a professor at TU Darmstadt since 1996 . From May 12, 2010 to the end of 2013, he was Vice President of the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Career

Christoph Motzko studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, specializing in structural engineering. This was followed by work as a project manager at the formwork manufacturer Peri , as part of which a BMFT research project was implemented, which led to a doctorate in 1989. In 1990 Motzko moved to Hochtief AG . Here he was entrusted with the construction management, site management and project completion for the new construction of the international airport in Warsaw. He was then appointed to the board of BUDOKOR SA, a subsidiary of Hochtief. In 1994 he switched to controlling and corporate planning at the group headquarters. In 1996 Motzko was offered a position at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Since 2003 he has been the managing director of the Institute for Construction Management. Motzko is, among other things, chairman of the Güteschutzverband Betonschalungen Europa eV , Advisory Professor at Tongji University Shanghai and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Building Industry Foundation. From 2010 to 2013 he was Vice President for Studies and Teaching at TU Darmstadt.
