The Güteschutzverband Betonschalungen Europa e. V. ( GSV ) is a registered association that was founded in 1992 as the Güteschutzverband Betonschalungen e. V. was founded. The main goal is the further development and quality assurance of formwork technology . In addition, the association would like to promote the partnership between formwork users and formwork suppliers.
Members are international formwork manufacturers and some European formwork users.
The board of directors of the GSV consists of Christoph Motzko ( Institute for Construction Operations at the Technical University of Darmstadt ), Martin Hemberger ( Hünnebeck Deutschland GmbH ) and Olaf Leitzbach ( MEVA Schalungs-Systeme GmbH ).
Goal setting
The association sees itself as a quality assurance body that develops manufacturer-independent standards for formwork practice and awards seals of quality . Objectively verifiable and uniform criteria should enable formwork users to work safely with proven, high-quality products that deliver reproducible results.
For this purpose, rules, guidelines and leaflets for the construction, dimensioning and application of concrete formwork have already been developed and published .
The cooperation between the various members results in a constant transfer of knowledge , which is intended to ensure further development of concrete formwork technology. The involvement of the Technical University of Darmstadt should promote the quality of this development.
The seal of approval “GSV tested”, introduced in 1995, distinguishes high quality and safe formwork products and is intended to make it easier for formwork users to deliver high quality results. A high standard in formwork practice is an important goal for the GSV.
In addition, the association participates in various projects in research and development and comments on problems, market requirements and current events.

Members are companies and persons who develop, design, dimension, manufacture, sell and / or use concrete formwork .
The association is available to members in matters relating to the construction, dimensioning and application of concrete formwork.
