The Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials AG (formerly Quadrant AG), headquartered in Lenzburg is an international Swiss manufacturer of thermoplastic materials in the form of semi-finished and finished products . The group of companies employs ~ 2,800 people in 20 countries and generated sales of ~ 920 million Swiss francs in the 2018–19 financial year. As of April 1, 2019, Quadrant changed its name to Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials. Quadrant was until June 2010 on the Swiss Stock Exchange SWX Swiss listed .

history

The company was founded in 1996 as a holding company. A few months later, it initially took over the majority stake in the Mobag Group , which is active in the real estate sector, and after a strategic reorientation decided shortly thereafter , Symalit AG, which was founded in 1952 and active in the plastics sector . The latter took over the GMT business from BASF and Borealis in 1999 .
