The Peri GmbH (proper spelling: PERI GmbH) is internationally one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of formwork and scaffolding systems . Since it was founded in 1969, central functions, development and production have been located in the parent plant in Weißenhorn near Ulm . PERI serves its customers worldwide with around 9,500 employees in around 70 subsidiaries and 160 warehouse locations, and in 2018 generated sales of 1.56 billion euros. The company name goes back to the Greek preposition “peri” (English: around - around).

history

Peri was founded in 1969 by Artur Schwörer († 2009) in Weißenhorn near Neu-Ulm . The company's first product was a formwork beam made of wood with a high load-bearing capacity and a patented glued joint. Three years later, Peri expanded and opened branches in Hamburg and Stuttgart. In the following years, subsidiaries outside Germany were founded. 1985 brought a universal frame formwork system and in 1989 the ACS self-climbing system onto the market. A slab formwork system followed in 1992 and a scaffolding system in 1998.

Products

The Peri product portfolio can be divided into six areas.

Formwork systems

The products in the formwork area include various wall, foundation, column and ceiling formwork as well as climbing systems in connection with components and accessories. In addition, special formwork for special geometries in construction projects is produced.

Scaffolding systems

The scaffolding area includes both frame and modular scaffolding. This includes work scaffolding for facades and industry as well as reinforcement scaffolding , shoring , supports, access technology and weather protection roofs for trade, industry and construction companies that are compatible with each other.

Systems for civil engineering

The civil engineering sector includes self-climbing systems for building construction as well as formwork for bridge and tunnel construction.

Security systems

The safety systems enclose work platforms on formwork and fall protection solutions on open building edges.

Formwork panels and wood materials

Peri offers formwork panels for a wide variety of requirements and applications. The portfolio includes formwork panels for the construction industry / precast concrete industry, raw plywood for the packaging industry, plywood for the automotive industry and other products for technical applications in the industrial sector.

Engineering and services

Worldwide the company works with approx. 850 engineers on individual formwork and scaffolding solutions and supports the execution of construction projects, in particular through the application of the BIM methodology.

The company also operates its own rental parks at several locations and trades in used systems.
