Christoph Rippich

Christoph Rippich (born May 9, 1938 in Waldenburg , Silesia ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Christoph Rippich attended elementary school in Achim and the secondary school there, where he obtained the secondary school leaving certificate in 1955. He then attended the administrative school in Bremen from 1955 to 1958 and passed the first administrative examination. From 1958 to 1982 he worked in Bremen for the Senator for the Interior. In 1959 he joined the SPD. He did his military service from 1959 to 1960. In 1965 he became a member of the council of the city of Achim (Verden district), and he joined the union in 1967. He passed the second administrative examination as part of a further visit to the Bremen administrative school from 1966 to 1968. In 1968 he became a member of the district council and mayor of the city of Achim until 2006 and then honorary mayor. From 1986 he was also district administrator for the district of Verden. From June 21, 1982 to 1998 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (10th to 13th electoral term).

Rippich was and is involved in various social and sporting organizations and in youth work. On August 8, 2006 he received the Lower Saxony Cross of Merit, 1st Class .

Rippich is married. His wife Anna-Meta Rippich is a member of the city council of Achim and belongs to the local CDU parliamentary group.
