Christoph Schärer

Christoph Schärer (born August 14, 1980 ) is a Swiss art and apparatus gymnast and trainer.

He is multiple Swiss champion on the horizontal bar and took several top 10 ranks in all-around competitions and on other equipment. At the Gymnastics World Championships 2001 in Gent, Christoph Schärer reached 6th place on the horizontal bar. In 2004 he took part in the Olympic Games in Athens and won the bronze award in the horizontal bar at the European Gymnastics Championships in Ljubljana. At the European Gymnastics Championships in Volos in 2006 , he also won the bronze award on the horizontal bar.

Schärer works at the Swiss Federal University for Sport Magglingen .
