Christoph Stenschke

Christoph W. Stenschke (* 1966 in Augsburg ) is a Protestant theologian and lecturer for the New Testament at the Biblical-Theological Academy in Bergneustadt , North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Christoph Stenschke studied from 1987 to 1992 at the Free Theological Academy in Gießen and at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen . He then studied at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland (1993-1997) and received his doctorate at I. Howard Marshall with the study Luke's Portrait of the Gentiles Prior to Their Coming to Faith (German: The image of the nations before their conversion in Luke-Acts ) . In the 1997 summer semester he was visiting professor at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague . After a candidate year onTheological seminar of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches in Elstal, he was ordained pastor in the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches in 1998 and was appointed to the Evangelical Free Church Church of Stralsund (Baptists) . Since autumn 2001 he has been a lecturer for the New Testament at the Biblical-Theological Academy (Forum Wiedenest) in Bergneustadt , where, in addition to teaching in the advanced and training course of this academy, he is in charge of the academic development program. In addition, he became Professor extraordinarius ( associate professor ) at the University of South Africa (abbreviated UNISA) in 2005 , at the School of Humanities and Theology (Department of New Testament and Early Christian Studies ).

Stenschke is married and has two children.

Stenschke was General Secretary of the Fellowship of European Evangelical Theologians (2002–2010). He is a member of the working group for evangelical theology , of the New Testament Society of the Kirchliche Hochschule Wuppertal and of the New Testament Society of South Africa . He is also a member of the board of the Society for Education and Research in Europe .

Stenschke is on the board of the CDU city ​​association in Bergneustadt and has been a city councilor in the Bergneustadt city council since 2009 . He works in the main and finance committee as well as in the social committee of the council.
