Christoph Weber (born June 7, 1967 in Linnich ) is a German director , author and documentary filmmaker .

Life

After studying theater, film and television studies in Cologne, Weber worked as a television journalist for public broadcasters in Germany. In 1995 he switched to marketing at ZDF. Since 2001 he has been creating documentaries as a freelance writer, director and producer. He also works as a coach at ARD.ZDF media academy .

During his career Weber won national and international awards, including the Grimme Prize in 2015. In the same year he received the Regino Prize for outstanding judicial reporting . Through his films, he has earned a reputation as an investigative documentary filmmaker who questions historical myths through his work and can often unmask them as legends.

His best-known films include Hitler's 9/11 , The Failure of Post War Justice , Flying Is Siegen, and The Nazi Games .
