Christoph von Schmöger

Christoph von Schmöger , Lord of Adelzhausen (born August 18, 1765 in Wertingen , † January 30, 1839 in Regensburg ) was a royal Bavarian councilor, colonel and district inspector of the Landwehr.

Life

Christoph von Schmöger was the son of the retired royal. Bavarian court counselor Franz Joseph von Schmöger, Herr auf Adelzhausen (born February 28, 1733 in Wertingen, † May 15, 1821 in Munich) and Maria Magdalena born. Baroness von Wadenspann († February 16, 1832 in Munich). The family was raised to hereditary nobility in 1744 with his grandfather, the custodian of Friedberg and Wertingen from the curbs, as well as owner of the Hofmark Adelzhausen Franz Anton Schmöger.

From 1790 onwards, von Schmöger served as a secretary in various ministries at the Higher Regional Government in Munich. On August 26, 1816, he was appointed Landwehr captain, and on July 31, 1817, he was appointed Colonel of the Landwehr Commission in Regensburg. Finally, on January 28, 1826, he received the title of royal. Government councilor and most recently worked as a district inspector in Regensburg. At his instigation, he set up a foundation from 1816 to 1817 in the St. Katharinaspital in Regensburg, which distributed bread to the poor. In 1838 he fell ill with an organic defect and died in 1839 at the age of 73.

Christoph von Schmöger married Katharina Sutor on February 28, 1791 (born November 24, 1762 in Munich, † April 22, 1836 in Regensburg). The following children were born from the marriage:

  • Ferdinand von Schmöger (born January 8, 1792 in Munich; † March 4, 1864 in Regensburg), professor and curator at the Lyzeum Regensburg
  • Joseph von Schmöger, actuary at the royal. District Court of Pfaffenberg
  • Katharina von Schmöger; ⚭ February 26, 1826 Joachim von Ruf, royal. District court assessor in Stadtamhof
  • Christoph von Schmöger, priest and vicar at the collegiate monastery in Regensburg
