Christopher A. Jones

Christopher Andrew Jones is an American medievalist .

Life

He earned a BA in English and Religion from the University of the South in 1988 , an MA in the Department of English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990 with concentrations in Medieval English and Early American Literature, and a Ph.D. 1995 at the Center for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto with a focus on Medieval English and Anglo-Latin (Dissertation: Ælfric's Letter to the Monks of Eynsham: A Study of the Text and its Sources ). From 2004 to 2005 he was Professor of English at the University of Notre Dame . He has been Professor of English at Ohio State University since 2005 .

He conducts research in the fields of early medieval languages, literatures, and history with particular interests in ancient English, medieval Latin, manuscript studies, liturgical history, and monastic culture.
